Food banks are a lifeline for those struggling with food insecurity. Here are six organizations throughout the state that could use your donation of food and/or time.

As our communities throughout Pennsylvania try to heal after such a divisive election season, one way to help the healing begin is by volunteering to assist those in need.

Local food banks are doing their best to offer a helping hand to those in our communities struggling with food insecurity. These organizations rely on the help of others, and are a great place to volunteer your time and/or donate items.

Here are six organizations located across the state dedicated to providing food for those in need. The state Department of Human Services has a comprehensive database of  food banks here.
