“I’m not going to live in fear.”

That’s the message Gov. Josh Shapiro had for reporters ahead of his return to living at the Pennsylvania governor’s residence in the coming weeks.

Shapiro and first lady Lori Shapiro held an Easter Egg Hunt at the residence on Tuesday and it was the first public event at the residence since an arsonist set fire in the mansion a little more than a week ago.

Constituents react to Scott Perry’s lies about Medicaid

US Rep. Scott Perry’s (R-York) constituents reacted to a statement he made claiming no one will lose Medicaid coverage if they legitimately need it.

However, millions of Americans will lose their health care coverage if the US Senate approves an $800 billion Medicaid policy that lays out new work requirements.

Those covered by the bill would have to work a minimum of 80 hours a month and prove that they are working every six months.

According to the Center for American Progress, close to 340,000 Pennsylvanians may lose their coverage, including over 20,000 residents living in Perry’s district.

Over 100 of Republican US Rep. Scott Perry’s constituents delivered letters to his Mechanicsburg office on Wednesday after he voted last week to cut Medicaid funding by $800 billion.

Susan Roller, a retired teacher, explained how Perry ignores his constituents and hasn’t held an in-person town hall meeting since July 2019.

There are over 20,000 residents living in Perry’s district who are at risk of losing their health care coverage thanks to his vote.
