Elected leaders from around Pennsylvania honored labor leader Richard Trumka, who died Thursday.

Richard Trumka, the powerful president of the AFL-CIO who rose from the coal mines of Pennsylvania to preside over one of the largest labor organizations in the world, died Thursday. He was 72.

Reese died of an apparent aneurysm about a month after he tested positive for COVID-19. It is unclear if the two illnesses were related.
