The report was released last week by US Sen Bob Casey (D-Pennsylvania), and calls out corporations for using inflation as a cover to gouge consumers and reap record profits coming out of the pandemic. 

In Sept. 2020, the median home sale price in Pennsylvania was $230,400. As of Sept. 2023, that figure had risen to $274,900, a 19% increase, according to Redfin. Renters are also paying more in the commonwealth. In 2020, they paid an average of $684 per month for a one bedroom apartment.
