Norfolk Southern Will Pay Pennsylvania $7M for Damages From Train Derailment and Chemical Burn, Shapiro Says

According to Gov. Shapiro, the funds will cover the cost of the response and recovery for state agencies, fire departments, and business and residents in Beaver and Lawrence counties.

In Wake of Train Derailment, Pennsylvania Lawmakers Propose More Safety Regulations, Issue Subpoena to Norfolk CEO

Federally, legislation was introduced in both the House and Senate by Pennsylvania lawmakers aimed at expanding safety regulations for the rail industry after a fiery train wreck near Beaver County.

Health Resource Center Opening in Beaver County For Residents Impacted by Ohio Train Wreck

The health resource center will open Tuesday in the Darlington Township Building for residents affected by the fiery train wreck earlier this month. It will be open through March 10.

State Makes Online Resources Available for Western Pa. Residents Impacted by Ohio Train Derailment

The online dashboard launched by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency provides current information about air and water testing, and other important resources for residents affected by the train derailment and subsequent chemical burn earlier this month.
