Philadelphia is investigating how a 22-year-old's group ended up distributing coronavirus vaccines. Philly Fighting Covid distributed nearly 7,000 vaccines this month before the city shut it down.
Amid concerns about a 22-year-old's qualifications to run vaccine distribution and Philly Fighting COVID's for-profit status, the city shuttered his operation at the downtown convention center.
Philadelphia's police commissioner is defending her department and the city's response to days of widespread protests against police brutality last summer.
"We don't have a behavioral health unit, which is sorely needed," Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said. "There's clearly a disconnect on our end in terms of knowing what's out there."
