Bernie Sanders announced his support for several candidates for the state's legislature.
Sanders will visit Western Pennsylvania, while Biden visits Eastern Pennsylvania, and Trump makes stops in Central Pennsylvania.
With just 11 days to go until Election Day, the presidential campaign is heating up in Pennsylvania.
And it’s going to be a busy weekend for the candidates and their representatives.
Saturday Stops
Democratic presidential nominee and former Vice President Joe Biden is planning to visit Bucks County Community College’s Lower Bucks Campus in Bristol Township, Bucks County, on Saturday, according to LevittownNow. The event is tentatively scheduled to start at 10:45 a.m.
Biden and his wife, Jill, are also expected to visit Dallas High School in Luzerne County for a drive-in rally at 3 p.m. on Saturday, according to The Citizens’ Voice. Jon Bon Jovi is expected to join them.
Later in the afternoon, on the other side of the state, US Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vermont) will join Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman and state Reps. Sara Innamorato and Summer Lee for a drive-in campaign rally for Biden in Pittsburgh, according to KDKA. The rally begins at 3:30 p.m. at Rivers of Steel National Landmark.
Prior to the rally, Sanders is expected to join community members, volunteers, and members of Service Employees International Union for an early voting event at Community College of Allegheny County’s Allegheny Campus, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Former South Carolina governor and US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley is planning to tour the southeastern part of the state for President Donald Trump over the weekend.
She is currently scheduled to speak at an Indian Voices for Trump fireside chat at 2 p.m. at The Presidential catering venue in Norristown, Montgomery County, according to a news release from the Trump campaign.
Haley will then travel to Reading, Berks County, for a Make America Great Again event at 4 p.m. at The Abraham Lincoln Hotel.
Sunday Stops
Haley will also participate in a Make America Great Again event at 11:30 Sunday morning at Brandywine Manor in Chester County.
Monday Stops
Trump is planning to speak at three rallies on Monday: One at 11 a.m. at HTI in Allentown in Lehigh County, one at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Lancaster Airport in Lancaster County, and another at 4:30 p.m. at Altoona-Blair County Airport in Blair County, according to a news release from his campaign.
The Past Week
These visits follow a week filled with campaign stops by Trump and representatives of both campaigns.
Republican Vice President Mike Pence spoke in Reading last weekend, Trump visited Erie on Tuesday, Eric Trump visited State College on Wednesday, and Karen Pence visited Lancaster County on Thursday.
Cory Booker and Andrew Yang visited Philadelphia last weekend, Jill Biden visited Lackawanna and Bucks counties on Monday, and former President Barack Obama spoke at a roundtable discussion and a drive-in rally in Philadelphia on Wednesday.
