Former DC police officer Michael Fanone called for more criminal accountability for those who spread disinformation and tried to overturn the 2020 election in an interview with The Keystone in Harrisburg on Tuesday.
Fanone said the upcoming 2024 election will be a test for American democracy and whether or not Americans want to preserve it.
The former police officer was in the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg on Tuesday and attended a press conference hosted by State Sen. Art Haywood (D-Montgomery). Haywood filed a Senate ethics complaint against State Sen. Doug Mastriano (R-Franklin) highlighting Mastriano’s involvement in former President Donald Trump’s “coup attempt” and his actions in the weeks leading up to Jan. 6, 2021.
