Dom DiSandro does it all for the Eagles, and on Sunday, Philadelphia’s chief of security provided comfort for Giants rookie Cam Skattebo.
Skattebo was carted off in the second quarter vs. the Eagles with a serious ankle injury that will end his season. Zack Baun tackled Skattebo on a pass attempt from Jaxson Dart with 8:00 remaining in the second quarter, and the Cart was immediately sent out for the hard rushing dual-threat after his ankle was dislocated and twisted in the wrong direction.
Skattebo exited the game with three carries for 12 yards and one 18-yard catch for a touchdown. Following the Giants’ loss, DiSandro dropped off pizza and cheesesteaks for Skattebo and his family at Penn Presbyterian on Monday.
According to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, Skattebo’s ankle dislocation was of the open variety, meaning there was an open wound or tear over the joint. That was the reasoning for the Giants’ running back needing to have emergency surgery in a Philadelphia hospital after suffering the injury.
In the Giants’ 34-17 victory in Week 6, Skattebo logged 19 carries for 98 yards and three back-breaking touchdowns.
