
The Christmas Tree Showcase opens in the Milton & Catherine Hershey Conservatory at Hershey Gardens Nov. 20.
See the work of 10 regional designers as they unwrap their joy on a collection of indoor Christmas trees along a snowy pathway during the Christmas Tree Showcase opening in the Milton & Catherine Hershey Conservatory at Hershey Gardens opening Nov. 21.
The trees were decorated by the following Central Pennsylvania designers:
- Blooms by Vickrey, Camp Hill
- Chimaera Face & Body Art, Hershey
- DM Florals & Events, Lebanon
- Door to Door Christmas, Mechanicsburg
- Helianthus and Lace, Harrisburg
- Meadowbrook Floral Design, Lancaster
- Palmyra Greenhouse, Palmyra
- Paper Moon Flowers & Events, Harrisburg
- Sprigs & Twigs of Joy, Dauphin
- PA Herb and Garden Festival, Harrisburg
The Christmas Tree Showcase will also feature a unique family photo opportunity: a car from Hersheypark’s Comet roller coaster, fashioned as Santa’s sleigh. The Comet has been in operation at the park since 1946.
In addition to the custom decorated tree display, holiday offerings include a visit with Santa, story time with Mrs. Claus and children’s holiday crafts.

The tree walk continues until Jan. 1 and is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day; Christmas Eve – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.). The Butterfly Atrium, in the same building, is also open offering a chance to escape the cold and watch butterflies interact with colorful Christmas ornaments in a lush environment.
The Student Christmas Tree Showcase features a Garden Cottage that will feature a display of holiday trees decorated with colorful ornaments made by local school students; included in general admission. Participating schools include:
- Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning
- Celebree School
- East Hanover Elementary School
- Milton Hershey School
- Northern Lebanon Elementary School
- SPLAT, a Family Art Studio
Crafty Christmas Creations is Nov. 22 and 29; Dec. 6, 13, 20 and 27, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Families can stop in at the Education Center, located in The Children’s Garden, for holiday craft making; included in general admission.
Visit with Santa Dec. 13, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kids can visit with Santa in the Garden Cottage; included in general admission.
Storytime with Mrs. Claus Dec. 20 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Join Mrs. Claus in the Garden Cottage for story time; included in general admission.
