Rutter’s offers new grilled cheese sandwiches with a twist

Rutter’s has revamped its grilled cheese sandwich menu to put a modern spin on the classic comfort food, according to a news release.

The convenience store chain, based in York County, is offering eight new creations that pair cheesy goodness with meat for a twist on the classic sandwich.

The limited-time menu includes:

• BBQ Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese
• Buffalo Fried Chicken Grilled Cheese
• Steak Grilled Cheese
• Bacon and Jalapeño Grilled Cheese
• Blazin’ Bird Grilled Cheese, featuring crispy chicken and bold heat
• Bacon Grilled Mac & Cheese
• Bacon Triple Decker Grilled Cheese
• Grilled Cheese Hot Dog

The items are available through March, the release states.

“The grilled cheese hot dog is a perfect example of how we’re having fun with this menu,” Phil Santini, senior director of food service and bar strategy, said in the release. “It brings together two food favorites into one bold, crave-worthy bite. The idea came out of our legal team, which is unique, but also shows continued organizational creativity to create great food options!”

Customers can pair their sandwich with a soup, such as creamy tomato, chicken corn, chili, chicken pot pie and baked potato, according to the release.
