Pittsburgh has a knack for brewing and drinking beer, as shown by the city’s fifth-place finish in March for the Best Beer City in the U.S. by voters in the USA Today 10 BEST 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards.

There are more than 40 breweries in the city, according to the Pittsburgh Brewers’ Guild, so there are many places to sample local brews during a visit to the Steel City.

Here is a list of 10 places to try, but the Brewers’ Guild website has a longer list, compiled by region. Be sure to check your preferred location for vehicle parking and public transit information before you visit.

And for anyone who happens to be in Pittsburgh from April 8-12, the guild’s annual Three Rivers Beer Week offers plenty of events and opportunities to learn how Pittsburgh earns its title as one of the nation’s best beer cities.
