A 98-year-old woman named Rita was released from the hospital on Thursday after recovering from COVID-19.
She spent 17 days at Holy Redeemer Hospital in Meadowbrook, Montgomery County. Staffers all wearing face masks lined the halls to congratulate her on her “triumphant win over coronavirus,” according to a post on Facebook.

“Thank you everyone who worked together to send Rita back home!!!” the post read.
As of Friday, nearly 30,000 Pennsylvanians had been diagnosed with coronavirus.
