If you’re in PA, you are never far from delicious ice cream.
It’s summer, so we’re all screaming for ice cream. And wherever you are in Pennsylvania, you’re never far from world class ice cream.
Taking a detour off of 80 or the turnpike to visit the @pennstatecreamery is the perfect way to break up a cross-state trip.
If you find yourself in the eastern part of the state, @owowcow Creamery, with its three locations throughout Bucks County is a MUST. Same goes for @zsas in Philadelphia’s Mt. Airy neighborhood, and @manningfarmdairy, which has five locations across NEPA… and soft serve… and ice cream pies… and ice cream cakes.
In Pittsburgh, @klavonsicecream has been there for almost 100 years, and with good reason. It’s a classic, old-school ice cream shop.
If you’re hitting the road this summer, build in time to visit one of these great ice cream spots. Check out the full list below:

Support Our Cause
Thank you for taking the time to read our work. Before you go, we hope you'll consider supporting our values-driven journalism, which has always strived to make clear what's really at stake for Pennsylvanians and our future.
Since day one, our goal here at The Keystone has always been to empower people across the commonwealth with fact-based news and information. We believe that when people are armed with knowledge about what's happening in their local, state, and federal governments—including who is working on their behalf and who is actively trying to block efforts aimed at improving the daily lives of Pennsylvania families—they will be inspired to become civically engaged.
