From bolstering local economies with her “Eras” tour to being Spotify’s most-streamed artist of the year, 2023 has been pretty good for Berks County native Taylor Swift.
It’s been quite a year for Berks County native Taylor Swift.
There was the colossal “Eras” tour that saw Swift bolstering local economies thanks to three sold-out shows at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field and two sold-out shows at Pittsburgh’s Acrisure Stadium that set a new attendance record. There was the “Eras” movie. And maybe you’ve heard something about her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Now, this: Taylor Swift is Spotify’s 2023 most-played artist.
According to Spotify Wrapped, Swift was 2023’s most-streamed artist globally, raking in more than 26.1 billion streams since January 1. That means the pop powerhouse has dethroned Puerto Rican reggaetón star Bad Bunny, who held the coveted title for three years in a row beginning in 2020.
Swift was also Spotify’s most-streamed artist in the US, followed by Drake and country star Morgan Wallen.
As a thank you to fans, Swift made the track “You’re Losing Me (From The Vault),” available for the first time on streaming platforms. She also recorded a short thank you video, which is available to some Spotify users as part of the Wrapped campaign.
