In April, Rep. Matthew Bradford, a Democrat, attempted to help frontline workers by proposing an amendment to a Republican bill that, if passed, would have increased the minimum wage for essential workers to $15 an hour.
The Republican-majority state legislature approved a resolution they believe will reopen businesses across the state. It may not be that simple.
Turzai played an active role in campaigns, helping the Republican party expand its majority, and was a forceful opponent of Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf.

The new deadline to receive them and count them, under Wolf’s executive order, is 5 p.m. on June 9, the governor's office said.
