Here’s when and where to catch 2025 holiday parades and tree lightings in Bucks County

The holiday parade and event season is here, and towns are bringing back these time-honored traditions in Bucks and Montgomery counties.

Parades and tree-lighting events start Nov. 22 with the Bristol Township Holiday Parade, and they continue straight through early December.

Find a holiday parade near you. It’s sure to be a festive time.

Bristol Township Holiday Parade

Saturday, Nov. 22, noon.

The Bristol Township Holiday Parade is back, featuring the Truman High School marching band and cheerleaders, Eagles Pep Band, Mummers All Stars, Bristol Township Baton Twirlers, Bristol Township Council, local sports organizations, local businesses, church organizations, nonprofits, dance studios, car clubs, police and fire, Santa Claus and more, organizers said.

The parade is to begin at Brookwood School, traveling down Haines Road and turning on Millcreek Road to Millcreek Elementary. Grab your chairs and bags for candy collection and join the route.

 

Quakertown Christmas Tree Lighting Festival

Saturday, Nov. 22, 4-7 p.m.

Residents are invited to join Santa and Mrs. Claus for Quakertown Borough’s annual Christmas tree lighting at 7 p.m. There’s to be hot chocolate, cookies and more from a variety of vendors. The tree is located in the triangle parking lot along Broad Street. The event, presented by members of Quakertown Alive!, features strolling carolers, unique vendors, live performances, alpacas and a live nativity.

Hatboro Holiday Parade

Sunday, Nov. 23, 2-4 p.m.

Hatboro is to start the local holiday season with a parade along York Road. The event is to begin at Summit Avenue with the parade marching south to Newington Drive. York Road is to be closed between County Line Road and South Warminster Road starting at 12:30 p.m.

The tree lighting is set for 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5 at the Union Library of Hatboro at 243 S. York Road. This event involves tree lighting, caroling, speeches and a Santa visit.

Doylestown Christmas Tree Lighting and Santa Parade

Friday, Nov. 28, 5 p.m.

Doylestown Winterfest is to kick off with the 111th tree lighting at State and Main streets in the borough. Musical performances are to start at 5 p.m., with Santa arriving by firetruck at 6:40 p.m.

Tree Lighting and food drive in Upper Makefield

Friday, Nov. 28 3p.m.

The community and Kiwanis of Washington Crossing-Yardley will gather at Washington Crossing Historic Park on River Road for festivities with Santa arriving at 3:30 p.m. and the tree lighting set for 4:30 p.m. Bring donations to help kick off the Upper Makefield Fire Co.’s annual food driver.

 

Bristol Borough Christmas Parade

Saturday, Nov. 29, 1 p.m.

The parade route is to start along Farragut Avenue, near McKinley Street. It’s to run all the way down Farragut and Pond Street, making a left onto Mill Street and ending at Mill and Radcliffe. Rain date is Nov. 30.

A tree lighting is set for Nov. 28 with a Christmas Village and Festivities starting at 6 p.m. and lighting at 7:10 p.m. at the corner Of Mill and Radcliffe streets. After the tree lighting, Santa is to be at The Business Club at 400 Mill St.

Tinicum Township Holiday Tree Lighting

Friday, Dec. 5, 7-9 p.m.

Join Tinicum for its first ever township tree lighting at Community Park, 30 Tohickon Valley Road in Ottsville. Visit with Santa and elves. Rain date Dec. 7, 4 – 6 p.m.

Dublin Holiday Gathering & Tree Lighting

Friday, Dec. 5, 5-8 p.m.

The Dublin Town Center is to present Santa, Frosty and Mrs. Claus at 123 N. Main St. There’s to be horse-and-carriage rides and a gingerbread house competition. The tree-lighting ceremony is scheduled at approximately 5:45 p.m. after Santa’s arrival at 5:30 p.m. Members of the Living Hope Community Church are presenting a live nativity scene.

 

Langhorne Dickens Night

Friday, Dec. 5, 6-8 p.m.

Members of the Langhorne Borough Business Association plan to host Dickens Night with a tree lighting, carolers, bonfire, vendors and more in the Langhorne Park at Maple and South Bellevue avenues. Santa is set to light the tree at 7 p.m. Residents are asked to bring a nonperishable food item for the food drive.

Peddler’s Village ‘Holly Jolly Weekend’ Santa Parade

When: Saturday, Dec. 6-7, 1:30 p.m.

This is an annual Santa parade at one of Bucks County’s premier shopping districts. Stick around and at 4:30 p.m. each night, a million Christmas lights blink on — not to be missed. Parking is free, so please don’t use surrounding residential neighborhoods.

Yardley Christmas Parade

Saturday, Dec. 6, 3 p.m.

The parade route travels on South Main Street and West Afton Avenue, starting at the American Legion and ending at Buttonwood Park. At the end of the parade Santa is to light the tree and have a meet-and-greet for the kids. “This year we’re stepping it up — we’ve got 17 amazing vendors setting up to create a true Winter Wonderland in the park,” organizers said online. “Bring your family, grab some hot cocoa, and join us for one of the most magical nights in the Boro!”

Buckingham Tree Lighting

Friday, Dec. 5, 6:30 p.m.

Holiday festivities are planned at 4613 Hughesian Drive with a choir, Santa visit, crafts and refreshments.

Plumstead Tree Lighting

Friday, Dec. 5

Holiday festivities are planned in Hanusey Park, at 4757 Gordon Road, with a choir, Santa visit and more. The tree lighting is to take place at approximately 7 p.m.

Perkasie Christmas Tree Lighting

Saturday, Dec. 6, 5-8 p.m.

Perkasie’s 117th annual Christmas tree lighting is to be held Dec. 6 at the Perkasie Town Center from 5-8 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Clause are to arrive at 7 p.m. on a Perkasie Electric Truck to light the Christmas tree with one lucky child. Falls Township Tree Lighting

Saturday, Dec. 6, 5-7 p.m.

Falls is to celebrate the holidays at the senior center along Trenton Road in Fairless Hills with a snow zone, visit from Santa, photos, crafts and more.

Souderton Holiday Parade

Saturday, Dec. 7, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Souderton Holiday Parade is scheduled to start on the hill of the south side of Main Street, continuing through “The Hollow,” then traveling east on Broad Street to School Lane, organizers said.

The parade is to feature local schools, community and faith organizations, businesses, emergency service volunteers and community members with a Santa appearance via fire truck.

The tree-lighting ceremony is set for Friday, Dec. 5 from 6:15-8 p.m. in the Univest courtyard at the intersection of Broad Street and Washington Avenue.

Newtown Holiday Parade

Sunday, Dec. 7, 12:15 p.m.

Hosted each year by members of the Newtown Business Association, the parade is to promptly kick off at 12:15 p.m. from South State Street at the Stocking Works. It then continues north to Washington Avenue and makes a left turn, then turns right onto Sycamore Street, ending at the corner of Sycamore Street and Durham Road. Parade announcers are to be located at Goodnoe Corner next to the Green Parrot. This is a free event, to take place in rain or shine.

Bensalem Santa & Tree Lighting

Saturday, Dec. 13 at 5 p.m.

Residents are invited to join township officials for a tree lighting and Santa’s arrival, and to bring a nonperishable food item to spread holiday cheer.

Winterfest in Sellersville

Saturday, Dec. 13, 5-8 p.m.

Winterfest in Sellersville is planned on Main Street with music and more. According to organizers, it includes “Santa’s arrival for photo opportunities; activities at the Sellersville Fire House; s’mores around the firepit; crafts and games throughout town; horse and carriage rides up and down Main Street; a holiday passport to be eligible for prizes upon completion; special menus and sales at our eateries and local shops; and so much more.”

Fireworks are planned to cap the borough’s sesquicentennial year of celebration. Main Street is to be closed from Elm Street to East Church Street.
