Roma’s Italian Eatery
Roma’s Italian Eatery is a new, trattoria-style bistro boasting chef-inspired dishes that bring the flavors of Italy to diners in an approachable way. This inviting, vintage 60s-style spot has quickly earned a loyal following thanks to its comforting pastas, familiar starters, and specialty cocktails.
Visitors are particularly enthusiastic about the homemade pasta and chef’s specialties. Each dish has recognizable ingredients and savory sauces that are filling and oh-so tasty. Roma’s claims to have the best lasagna in town, and I don’t doubt it. The layers of cheesy goodness are worth a shot.
Roma’s also offers wine and Italian-style cocktails to complement your meal. It’s also one of the few places in town where you can get classic Spumoni Bomba after you polish off your pasta. Another fan favorite is the tiramisu. Its rich layers and light texture provide a delightful end to any meal.
Bro Man’s Birra N’ Burger Joint
Located inside the former George’s restaurant, Bro Man’s newest spot brings a fresh twist to the classic American burger experience. It’s a go-to for anyone who loves a good burger, taco, birria, and other spicy flavors, and for adventurous foodies who want to try something a bit out of the ordinary. Bro Man’s menu is a playground for burger lovers, offering a range of unique options that reflect the travels and experiences of the owners.
One standout is the Big Bro, a smashed burger topped with cheddar cheese, pickles, a crispy cheese waffle, pastrami, and chipotle honey mustard sauce. For those who prefer a more refined flavor, the Mushroom Swiss Sooner is a must-try. This smash patty is smothered in grilled onions, cremini mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and “magical” umami mayo, creating a luxurious taste that feels gourmet without being pretentious.
The atmosphere at the new Bro Man’s location is perfect for laid-back quick cuisine. While the Gulf station location will remain open, the menu will become more limited. At the new spot, you can kick back, relax, and enjoy some seriously good food without a ton of fuss at comfortable tables and booths. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Erie, this burger joint is definitely worth a visit.
