From hundreds of miles of designated trails winding through state forests to epic rides provided by tours on private trails, be sure to check out these thrilling ATV experiences before the summer riding season is over.
Mines & Meadows ATV/RV Resort – Wampum
Visit Mines & Meadows ATV/RV Resort for a truly epic ATV adventure. You’ll travel 250 feet underground, riding in total darkness and guided only by your headlights, where you’ll explore tails and a three-acre underground lake of the abandoned limestone mines near Pittsburgh.
ATV riding hours are daily from 9 a.m. to sunset. Riding passes range in price from $15 to $60.
Susquehannock ATV Trail – Coudersport
The 43-mile Susquehannock ATV Trail is ideal for beginning ATV riders and seasoned enthusiasts. The trail is open for summer riding until late September and features interconnecting loops throughout the Susquehannock State Forest.
Rock Run Recreation Area – Patton
Strap in for a day of fun and breathtaking scenery at the Rock Run Recreation Area. The area features 140 miles of trails on 6,000 acres of rolling green land. Be sure to stop atop the Allegheny Mountains and take in the spectacular view while riding.
ATV riding hours are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday. A one-day pass costs $22.
Mountain Ridge ATV Park – Central City
At the Mountain Ridge ATV Park the good times just keep rolling. The 3,000 acre park features a kids track, MX track, drag strip, hill climbs, night rides, and mud bogs over a variety of terrain.
ATV riding hours are daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Riding rates are $25 per person during the week and $30 per person on the weekends.
ATV at Quiet Oaks Campground – Cross Fork
The Quiet Oaks Campground offers an exceptional ATV experience with fun trails through the area’s forests, fields, and hillsides. No worries if you don’t have your own ATV. Their new onsite rental shop will have you out on the trails in no time. Check their website for more information on riding hours and rental rates.
Pocono Outdoor Adventure Tour – Long Pond
Enjoy the beauty of the Pocono Mountains from the driver seat of an ATV at Pocono Outdoor Adventure Tour. You can enjoy one of their scenic, guided ATV tours through woodlands and an exciting challenge course on the property of the Pocono Raceway.
Tours are one hour and range in price from $140 to $275. Price is per vehicle, not per person.
Rausch Creek Racing – Valley View
Rausch Creek Racing is an 8.500-acre property offering guided ATV tours and regularly scheduled social/riding events. With nine trails that range in length from one mile to 14 miles, they have something to excite any ATV riding skill level. Check their website for scheduled events and tour availability.
Whiskey Springs ATV Trail – Renovo
The Whiskey Springs ATV Trail offers 50 miles of summer and winter trail riding in Sproul State Forest. Open to ATVs and side-by-sides, you can explore several play pit areas along your journey left from previous mining activities. Don’t forget to make a few pit stops along the way to take in the beautiful scenery along the trail.
