The Democratic Pennsylvania Senator addressed the baseless conspiracy theory with a little help from… John Fetterman?
One day after returning to the Senate following inpatient treatment for post-stroke depression, Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman posted a video Tuesday humorously addressing the baseless conspiracy theory that he was replaced with a body double.
“During my time during the hospital, the fringy fringies really came up with a conspiracy theory that I have a body double,” Fetterman says in the video, sporting his trademark shorts and hoodie combo. “And I just want you to know that’s just crazy. That’s not true.”
The video then cuts to Fetterman, wearing a different colored hoodie and shorts combo, walking in the door and pretending to be the senator’s body double.
“Yo, dude, John, what event am I supposed to be doing this afternoon?” the fake body double Fetterman asks.
Both versions of Fetterman (the Fettermen?) then look at the camera and shrug.
