It might be the creepiest Valentine’s Day destination but it’s certain to be a memorable one if you choose to spend the holiday for lovers putting the lotion on at Buffalo Bill’s House in Perryopolis.
Nothing says romance like a night in a notorious serial killer’s lair.
At least, that’s the idea behind the “Silence of the Valentine’s Day” package being offered at Buffalo Bill’s House in Perryopolis. The infamous filming location from “The Silence of the Lambs” operates as an inn these days, and is offering a chillingly unique opportunity for terror-loving couples looking to cozy up for a night of thrills, chills, and perhaps a nice chianti.
The Valentine’s Day package runs from Feb. 7 to Feb. 15 and includes:
- Bottle of chianti, champagne, or non-alcoholic sparkling cider
- Assortment of fine chocolates from a local chocolatier
- Buffalo Bill’s House souvenirs for every person in your party
- Valentine’s Day decor throughout the dining room
- Rose petals sprinkled in the shape of a heart on the bed in the master bedroom
The historic 1910 Victorian home served as the house where serial killer Buffalo Bill lived in the Academy Award-winning film starring Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins. It has remained largely unchanged since the movie was shot more than 30 years ago.
And if you stay there, it’ll definitely be a Valentine’s Day you’ll never forget.
