Get to know the five casinos in the Philly area where you can gamble or just enjoy food, shops, and entertainment.
If you’re seeking the glitz and risk associated with casinos, you can find five within the Greater Philadelphia area. Some aren’t just spots to gamble, but also have high-end hotels, fancy restaurants, and cool shows each weekend. We’ve got the details on all of them so you and your high roller friends can plan your next night out.
1. Rivers Casino Philadelphia – Philadelphia’s Fishtown
Rivers Casino Philadelphia is one of just two casinos in Philadelphia proper—in fact, it was the city’s first casino—and you can find it along the Delaware River in the Fishtown neighborhood. The casino is home to 72 table games like blackjack and craps, and 24 hybrid gaming seats. Poker players can play at 28 poker tables within the casino’s poker room, and visitors can try their luck at more than 1,500 slot machines. The casino’s BetRivers Sportsbook also offers live sports betting.
But there is much more than gambling at the Rivers Casino complex. Guests can stay at the casino’s nearby boutique hotel, Riversuites at The Battery Philadelphia, which is home to 62 luxury suites, all with kitchenettes. The hotel’s location in Fishtown makes it walkable to plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops. And if you’d like to grab food and drinks at the casino itself, restaurants include pan-Asian Mian, comfort food spot Flipt, Italian Sapore, and even Rita’s Italian Ice. Don’t miss the casino’s live music and comedy shows either!
2. Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino – Chester (Chester County)
Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino is in Chester County, just south of the Philly airport. The Caesars property has live table games and more than 1,500 slot machines. In addition, Caesars Sportsbook is home to live sports betting. Besides gambling, you can find restaurants, nightlife, and other entertainment. You can get a bite to eat at gastropub Philly Tap & Tavern, noodle shop Mien Noodles, and T&T Backroom Steakhouse. The casino is also home to events like concerts with favorite tribute bands and a number of bars, including C-Bar, which has brews as well as bar-top gaming.

3. Parx Casino – Bensalem (Bucks County)
Just 20 minutes north of Philadelphia, Parx Casino in Bucks County’s Bensalem is one of the largest casinos in Pennsylvania. It has 260,000 square feet of gaming and entertainment opportunities, including more than 3,000 slot machines, 141 live table games, and a 48-table poker room.
The casino also has a packed entertainment calendar featuring bands you already know, like Everclear, and bands you should know, like actor Bill Murray’s band, which will hit the casino in November. There are also dance nights and stand-up comedy shows. For sustenance, restaurants include Liberty Bell Gastropub, pan-Asian Bambu, BurgerVana, and a location of Chickie’s & Pete’s. Plus, Parx now owns the Inn at Fox Chase and will soon reopen it as the Parxview Hotel.
A Casino.com review of Pennsylvania’s casinos found that Parx was the “luckiest” casino in the state—but note that the win rate for Parx’s gamblers was still just 34.4 percent.

4. Valley Forge Casino Resort – King of Prussia (Montgomery County)
Valley Forge Casino Resort bills itself as the region’s only “full amenity” gaming resort because it’s not only a casino but also a hotel with a spa, a gym, a comedy club, an outdoor pool, several bars and restaurants, and a large event space featuring regular shows. Nearby, gaming options include 850 slot machines, 50 table games like roulette and baccarat, and a sportsbook. The lodging options loom large, with two hotel towers boasting more than 400 rooms. The Casino Tower provides easy access to the casino floor, while the Stardust Tower is convenient to the resort’s entertainment and nightlife opportunities as well as its meeting spaces.
5. Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia – South Philadelphia
Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia is located within Philadelphia itself, in South Philly near the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. The massive establishment—which is more than 2 million square feet in entirety—opened relatively recently in 2021. The modern space is home to more than 2,100 slot machines, live table games including poker, a sportsbook for live sports betting, and non-gambling amenities like dining and entertainment opportunities.
The casino and hotel’s location in South Philly makes it ideal for sports fans. Visitors are close to the South Philadelphia Sports Complex and the homes of the Eagles, Phillies, 76ers, and Flyers. The luxury hotel has 208 rooms for leisure travelers, and the casino complex’s dining spaces feature several bars and restaurants, including Philly favorites like Geno’s Steaks and fine dining like The Prime Rib.
