Donald Trump has bizarre, 40-minute episode swaying to music at PA town hall

Donald Trump had perhaps his weirdest moment of the 2024 campaign on Monday after two supporters fainted during a town hall. Trump stopped the event and stood on stage listening to music for 40 minutes.

Donald Trump had perhaps his weirdest moment of the 2024 campaign on Monday after two supporters fainted during a town hall. Trump stopped the event and stood on stage listening to music for 40 minutes.

Donald Trump glitched on stage during a town hall event in Montgomery County on Monday, and it may have been his weirdest moment of the 2024 presidential campaign.

Trump took a handful of vetted questions in front of hundreds of supporters at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks before two members of the crowd fainted due to the room overheating.

“Let’s not do any more questions,” Trump said. “Let’s just listen to music … Who the hell wants to hear questions?”

According to The Inquirer, the incidents occurred almost forty minutes into the town hall, which was hosted by South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, and Trump decided to turn the evening into a playlist party.

Trump stood on stage for close to 40 minutes listening to songs that included “Ave Maria” and “Time to Say Goodbye,” both of which are widely known for being played at funerals. For much of the time, he simply swayed back and forth on stage as audience members looked on.

NPR reported that several supporters were yelling about the room being too hot and that the two attendees fainted because of the conditions at the event.

Trump then went on to joke about the room being too hot.

“Personally, I enjoy this,” Trump said.  “We lose weight. We could do this, lose four, five pounds.”

During the town hall, Trump incorrectly reminded supporters to vote on January 5th and talked about Hannibal Lecter, a fictional serial killer from Silence of the Lambs.

Trump appeared to finally give a rambling excuse over his use of Hannibal Lecter during rallies and campaign events. He compared undocumented immigrants crossing to the fictional serial killer.

“He was a sick puppy and we have sick puppies coming into our country. I figured that’s a lot. That’s better than wasting a lot of words. You just say, “Hannibal Lecter.” Trump said.

“I do it because we are allowing some very bad people into our country.”
