Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) called out data center developers for bullying residents and trying to force through projects in parts of the Commonwealth despite local opposition during a press conference in Harrisburg on Tuesday.
Shapiro touted the executive order as one of the strictest guidelines on data center development in the country. It will require them to seek local approval before getting their construction permits from the Commonwealth.
