Tuesday is the first day potential candidates are allowed to circulate petitions to obtain access to the 2024 primary ballot, and Congressman Scott Perry (R-York) may have a potential primary challenger if John Henry Newman makes it onto the ballot.

Newman announced his candidacy on the Pennsylvania Capitol Steps in Harrisburg on Monday and called Perry out for spreading unfounded lies and trying to overturn the 2020 election.
