The City of Brotherly Love Will Greet Moms for Liberty Conference With Demonstrations

A weekend of demonstrations and actions are planned in Center City Philadelphia as the controversial right-wing group Moms for Liberty hosts their second annual conference at the Marriott Hotel. 

Speakers at this weekend’s conference include former President Donald Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and others. Sponsors of the event include right-wing organizations such as The Goldwater Institute, Freedom Foundation, Pennsylvania Family Institute and Vermillion Education.

One Year After Roe Was Overturned, Pennsylvania Advocates Call for Expanding Reproductive Freedom

Saturday marks one year since the Supreme Court’s decision overturned Roe v. Wade and the federal right to abortion care. 

While access to abortion care is still legal in Pennsylvania, the Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization allowed more than a dozen states to completely or mostly ban abortion in its aftermath.
