Want to get politically engaged this week? You can participate in National Gun Violence Awareness Day, protest ICE in Philly, or check in with your local Democrats at a monthly meeting. 

Here’s our weekly roundup of upcoming events and actions.

Friday (June 5)

CeaseFirePA: Wear Orange–National Gun Violence Awareness Day (Pittsburgh, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.)

A national demonstration to honor those who work to prevent gun violence in our communities. This event will take place in front of the City-County Building, and if you do attend, be sure to wear orange!

Action Together NEPA: Williamsport Fight Back Fridays (3-4 p.m.)

A protest outside of Republican US Rep. Dan Meuser’s office. 

Our Future Pennsylvania: For Our Future La Tia and Talk (Hazleton, 4-6 p.m.)

A casual food and informational event. 

Saturday (June 6)

Indivisible Lancaster Together: Signs of Fascism Silent Vigil (10 a.m.)

A silent vigil protesting the Trump Administration.

De-ICE Citizens Bank Coalition: National Day of Action (Philadelphia, 10-11 a.m.)

A demonstration in opposition to Citizens Bank’s apparent involvement in funding new ICE facilities around Pennsylvania.

Sunday (June 7)

Sunrise Movement: Chapter-Wide Meeting (Philadelphia, 1 p.m.)

A regular meeting discussing mutual aid and future events. 

Indivisible Lancaster Together: ICE Out of Home Depot (2-3 p.m.)

A demonstration to pressure Home Depot to denounce ICE publicly.

Monday (June 8)

Union County Democratic Committee: Monthly Meeting (Lewisburg, 7-8:30 p.m.)

A regular meeting covering future events, voter registration initiatives, and more. 

Tuesday (June 9)

One Pennsylvania: Free Renters Rights Clinic (Philadelphia, 6-8 p.m.)

A free renters rights workshop with tenant advice from housing lawyers. 

Keystone Indivisible: Monthly Meeting (State College, 6:30-8 p.m.)

A regular meeting covering group updates, future events, and more. 

Wednesday (June 10)

Pike County Democratic Party: Resistance Wednesdays (Milford, 12-2 p.m.)

A weekly demonstration protesting the Trump administration.

Thursday (June 11)

Indivisible: ICE Vigil (York, 8:30-10 a.m.)

A quiet demonstration outside of the York ICE facility.
