For those who DO already have plans set for the Fourth, we’d like to know: How are you planning to celebrate America’s 250th birthday?
Here’s what you’re getting up to:
“I have six rescue animals. I will be shielding them from all the noise coming from the air flyovers to the fireworks. Keeping it real in unreal times!”
—Terri H., Northern Virginia (Editor’s note: My wife and I will also be doing our best to shield our two mutts from the fireworks.)
“Sitting at home in a quiet dark room comforting our medicated dogs while our thoughtless neighbors set off endless consumer fireworks from their porch bordering our yard.”
— Mary L., Bucks County (Editor’s note: See above)
“Sadly, I refuse to celebrate a country that is completely destroyed and in turmoil NO THANKS to the FELON who occupies the people’s house!! Maybe if there wasn’t an incompetent, racist regime in place there would really be something to celebrate!!”
— Anonymous, Bethlehem
“Family picnic. The best way, IMO.”
— Danielle S., Butler
“We’re taking our kids (both US history buffs like their dad, LOL) to Gettysburg for a few days and will be attending the big Gettysburg Fourth event and some of the living history reenactments around town.”
— Roger and Melanie Fitch, Carbon County
“Spending the weekend in Erie. Friday, we’re taking in the big fireworks show at Presque Isle Bay. Saturday, we’re checking out the US Brig Niagara. God Bless America!”
— T.Z., Meadville
