Vending machines have become a new way for students to easily access emergency contraception at an affordable price. Here’s the story of students at one Pennsylvania university who are trying to get one on their campus.
Friday’s announcement is just the latest round of student debt cancellation enacted by the Biden administration, which has approved relief for more than 4.3 million people so far, including 112,510 people in Pennsylvania.
According to US News and World Report, the average cost of in-state tuition for a public university is $10,662. Most of Pennsylvania’s state universities cost more than that.
Aspects of the plan will include lowering tuition at state-owned universities, streamlining degree programs and funding institutions based, at least in part, on performance metrics. It also would mean more grant money, including for students who attend private universities in Pennsylvania.
The new FAFSA form has been released. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) determines eligibility for federal financial aid.
