Philadelphia will welcome visitors from around the world as the FIFA Fan Festival sets up shop in Fairmount Park. A sporting event of a different kind, NASCAR rolls into the Poconos, and it will be a weekend of downward-facing dog in the Electric City as the NEPA Yoga Festival takes place in Scranton.

Those are just a few of the fun things happening across the state this weekend. Here’s a closer look at what’s going on.

Philadelphia’s FIFA Fan Festival — Thursday through July 19

As the only US World Cup host city hosting an official Fan Festival that spans the entire tournament, visitors from around the world are expected to descend upon Philly not just for the six matches taking place at Lincoln Financial Field, but for the FIFA Fan Festival at Lemon Hill in Fairmount Park. The free festival features live match broadcasts, international food and drink, concerts, cultural programming, interactive activations, and family-friendly fun. Admission is free, but you need to register here.

NASCAR Cup Series Race Weekend — Friday through Sunday (Pocono Raceway)

One of NASCAR’s premier events rolls back into Pocono Raceway this weekend for a mix of high-speed action and family fun. Three big races will be taking place on the track known as “The Tricky Triangle,” culminating with the Great American Getaway 400 on Sunday. Leading up to the big race, there’s camping, a vibrant fan zone with driver appearances, and live music. Free admission for kids 12 and under.

NEPA Yoga Festival — Saturday and Sunday (Scranton)

Downward-facing dog in the Electric City, anyone? The NEPA Yoga Festival is the largest yoga event in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The immersive, weekend-long gathering at Montage Mountain features more than 100 unique offerings, including yoga and meditation sessions, guided hikes, wellness and inspirational talks, live music and art, social gatherings, and a holistic expo with a wide variety of vendors.

Tour de Lebanon Valley — Saturday (Lebanon)

Cyclists of all ages and skill levels can take part in the Tour de Lebanon Valley, a fun, scenic bike ride through the area’s beautiful farmland and rolling hills. Riders can choose their own adventure with routes ranging from a family-friendly, 6 to 12-mile ride to a challenging 62-mile metric century. And registration fees support local nonprofits, including the Community Health Council of Lebanon County, the Lebanon Valley Mountain Bike Team, and Lebanon Valley Conservancy.

Revolutionary Things exhibit — Through Aug. 2 (Harrisburg)

The State Museum’s Revolutionary Things exhibit culls a wide range of artifacts to illustrate Pennsylvania’s significant role in the American Revolution as we celebrate the country’s 250th birthday. Artifacts include rare items that date back to the Revolution, along with objects that reflect the ways in which subsequent generations of Pennsylvanians remember, imagine, and celebrate the nation’s founding and the Keystone State’s central role in it.
